About Us

Maison d'Ouessant Style, (formerly Sheep Shed Crafts), was started in 2015, two years after I began keeping my own sheep. The name pays homage to my fibre flock of Ouessant sheep whose fleece is incorporated into my handcrafted pieces, with no harm to the sheep. I also use some locally sourced fleece for variety and British wool felt.

My first flock of sheep was made up of four mixed breeds, soon to increase in numbers with the addition of two lovely Herdwicks and later, a few home-bred lambs.

I came across Ouessant sheep whilst working with their fleece for a commission piece and the first two arrived in 2018. I now have a little flock of sixteen Ouessants, as well as three home-bred descendents of my original flock and one of the Herdwicks, Buddy.

The sheep are here for life, all of them having unique personalities and a few quirks!
